We focus on practical, biologically accurate advice — the kind that actually explains why a feeder full of ordinary birdseed doesn’t work nearly as well as one stocked with the right seed.
Our Approach
Finches have genuinely distinctive biology: they’re strict seed specialists rather than insect- or nectar-eaters, they build simple open cup nests rather than excavating or weaving a hanging pouch, and several species show an unpredictable, food-driven migration pattern called irruption rather than a fixed seasonal migration.
